iOS 27.3 beta: Siri actions, Health redesign, Fitness+ plans
Updated

Siri takes on more everyday chores
The first iOS 27.3 betas give Siri extra actions across Apple's apps. You can have it unsubscribe from mailing lists, organize files, and manage Safari tabs. In Weather, Siri can add saved locations and switch severe weather or next-hour precipitation notifications on and off.
The additions stretch the assistant's reach into routine tasks. MacRumors notes that the full range of supported requests can still be hard to discover. A separate developer preview lets developers supply custom actions and skills so Siri can coordinate multiple steps for more complicated requests. App Store submissions for those integrations are set to open in the spring.
Safari gets vertical tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode
Safari in this beta adds vertical tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode. The dark mode lets websites that don't have their own dark appearance adopt one automatically.
The iPhone Duo also picks up horizontal Reachability and a revised keyboard. Both changes aim to make the wider outer display easier to use with one hand.
Fitness+ builds four-week strength plans
Apple Fitness+ gains Gym Strength, which builds personalized four-week plans around the equipment you have and your workout preferences. Short videos from Fitness+ trainers show proper form, so you don't have to follow a full video session to check your technique.
In the initial beta, the equipment selection and scheduling options leave room for improvement, especially if your routine changes from week to week, according to MacRumors.
Health app returns with Insights and Longevity
The redesigned Health app comes back with Insights and Longevity sections. They turn the measurements the app collects into guidance that's easier to read and into longer-term health assessments.
StandBy-style displays, like the ones on the iPhone Duo, bring more customizable clocks, Calendar views, and Weather information to more iPhones. Apple Music adds enhanced transitions, concert recommendations, and Selfie Sing karaoke videos.
Apple Watch recaps and rewinds conversations
On the Apple Watch, Live Rewind and Siri Recap offer new ways to recover and summarize spoken information. Live Rewind transcribes the previous 15 seconds. Siri Recap builds detailed conversation summaries that can work as meeting notes.
Time- and location-based scheduling gives you more control over when Siri Recap runs. These are features in the first 27.3 betas, so what ships in the final release can still change.
