Apple Watch Ultra 4 at $699.99: $100 off, 50-hour battery

Sheena Vasani of The Verge reports that the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is on sale for $699.99, which is $100 off the $799 list price. The discount applies to multiple colors at Amazon. According to the report, that matches the watch's all-time low price.

Inside, the Ultra 4 runs on Apple's S11 chip, the same one used in the Series 12. The Verge describes it as delivering faster performance than the previous generation, along with new Apple Intelligence features.

Among those features is Sound Recognition, which alerts you to noises such as alarms and doorbells. There's also Live Rewind, which lets you revisit the last 15 seconds of an in-person conversation. An upcoming Siri Recap feature is said to summarize conversations for later reference.

The sensors promise more accurate EKG measurements, and the watch can track your heart rate as often as every five seconds. A new Readiness feature analyzes recent activity, sleep quality and other health metrics to produce a score from zero to 10.

That score is meant to help you decide whether to push harder or take it easy. The Readiness feature is not available on the Ultra 3 and earlier models, so it's one of the concrete differences in this generation.

Battery life is the headline on the hardware side: Apple promises up to 50 hours on a charge, which The Verge notes is twice as long as the Series 12. The display is described as Apple's brightest watch display, carried over from the predecessor.

The case keeps the rugged design, water-resistant up to 100 meters and IP6X-rated for dust. You also get the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for Precision Finding, plus gesture controls that respond to a double tap or a flick of your wrist.

The same piece lists a few extras. Ugreen's FineTrack2 Bluetooth tracker is $13.99 at Amazon, a few cents above its best price. It's shaped like a soccer ball, has a non-rechargeable battery rated up to seven years, and works with Apple's Find My network; a lanyard lets you clip it to keys or a bag.

Apple's official bands are discounted up to 69 percent at Woot: the silicone Sport Band is $14.99, the Sport Loop $19.99 and the Trail Loop $34.99. Hoto's Pulse 4-in-1 cordless staple gun is $69.99, $10 off, and ships with 1,200 fasteners.
