Browsing needs no cookie
The pages are static, and fonts, images and stylesheets are served from our own domain: none of them sets a cookie. The site uses no advertising or profiling cookies and hosts no third-party pixels.
Optional statistics: Google Analytics 4
Only if you accept statistics do we load Google Analytics 4, which sets the cookies "_ga" and "_ga_<property identifier>" with a 180-day lifetime, renewed while you browse. They count visits and show where they come from. Google Signals and advertising personalisation stay disabled.
In this market an audience-measurement cookie can be exempt from consent provided you are informed and can object simply. We go further: nothing is loaded until you accept, and you can change your mind at any time.
Where your choice is kept
Your choice is stored in the browser's local storage, under "sircompare.analytics-consent.v1", for at most 180 days: it stops us asking on every page and is not sent to anyone. You can change it at any time from the "Statistics preferences" button in the footer: declining deletes the "_ga" cookies and stops the Google tag from loading.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable.
When you leave the site
