iPhone Duo: sideways Reachability in iOS 27.3
Updated

A sideways shift for the wide outer screen
With iOS 27.3 beta 1, iPhone Duo gets Reachability, and on this phone it works horizontally. A short swipe to the side of the screen moves everything left or right, so the far edge comes within thumb reach. On other iPhones, Reachability pulls the screen down vertically instead.
To turn it on, go to Settings, then Accessibility, then Reachability. Once it's enabled, the side swipe does the work.

Why the outer display needed it
When the first iPhone Duo reviews landed last month, some reviewers said the outer display's extra-wide design made one-handed use hard. Apple said at the time that a future software update would bring Reachability to help.
That update is now in testing. If one-handed use on the Duo has been a struggle, iOS 27.3 is the release to watch.

Beta now, everyone next month
Right now iOS 27.3 is only out as a developer beta. A public beta is expected in the coming days, according to 9to5Mac · Apple & apps. If bugs or performance issues worry you, that outlet suggests waiting for the final release.
Apple has said iOS 27.3 will reach all users next month, with mid-December the most likely window. Until then, the horizontal shift stays a beta feature.
