The Holmes documentary takes the weekend by a sliver

According to IGN · Gaming news & reviews, You Can See Everything finished first at the domestic box office over Halloween weekend. The Elizabeth Holmes documentary, from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, pulled an estimated $10.6 million. The DCU's Clayface landed second with $10.4 million. That gap is roughly $200,000, and the outlet notes the positions could shift once final totals are counted Monday. The doc's limited international rollout means Clayface is first globally at $22.8 million.

Both films held on with modest budgets

You Can See Everything dropped 43% in its second weekend, after a box office increase the weekend before. Clayface fell 57% in its second outing. The budgets are relatively small: the doc reportedly cost under $20 million including production and marketing, while Clayface is believed to have a $44 million production budget. So far the doc has taken in $64 million, and Clayface stands at $82.9 million worldwide.

A Batman villain gets his own origin story

Clayface brings an often overlooked Batman villain to the big screen with a tragic backstory. It stars Tom Rhys Harries and Naomi Ackie. The film also marks a moment for DC Studios' DCU, which had setbacks after Supergirl failed to follow up on 2025's Superman when it premiered earlier this year. IGN writes that even if it isn't a home run, the villain origin movie seems to have done its job so far.

Resident Evil and Wildwood in the worldwide race

At the worldwide box office, Resident Evil moved from fifth last weekend to fourth for Halloween. The Zach Cregger video game adaptation has reached $400 million against a reported $75 million budget. Laika's Wildwood pulled $11.54 million worldwide for the weekend, bringing its total after two weekends to $35.17 million, as it works toward a reported $100 million budget.

What's coming to theaters next

Director Takashi Yamazaki's kaiju sequel, Godzilla Minus Zero, arrives November 6, with a Godzilla Day showing November 3. I Play Rocky and The Cat in the Hat also release this weekend. Denis Villeneuve's first two Dune movies get a re-release November 13 ahead of Part 3. Then on November 20 comes the latest Hunger Games film. If you're planning a theater trip, those dates are the ones to mark.
