PUBG becomes a Netflix series with Donald Glover
Updated

What Krafton announced
Krafton has confirmed that PUBG is being adapted into a live-action series for Netflix. Donald Glover is set to direct, write, executive produce and star in the project.
His brother Stephen Glover, who worked with him as a writing partner on Atlanta, joins as a writer and executive producer. The announcement came on 30th October.
Who else is producing
Michael Schaefer is on board as executive producer for Neon TV. Fam Udeorji executive produces for Gilga, and Taeseok Jang and Sujin Lee do the same for LV3H.
LV3H is Krafton's entertainment arm, and it is involved in both developing and producing the show. Glover is a two-time Emmy and Golden Globe winner, best known for Atlanta and Community.

What is still open
There is no release window yet, and no plot details or further cast have been shared. Krafton describes PUBG as one of the world's most enduring gaming franchises and credits it with popularising the battle royale genre, citing seven Guinness World Records.
Earlier this month, Krafton said it was ending development of PUBG: Black Budget, the extraction shooter spin-off announced nearly a year before. Its other games include Subnautica and InZoi.
