Bose wired earbuds: ANC, no battery, €99.95–€99.99 in France
Aktualisiert
What Les Numériques found in its test
Les Numériques has added the Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds to its wired earphone comparison. The French site says the wired pair scores points for ease of use: there is no battery to recharge, the remote is handy and latency stays minimal. It also credits the earbuds with noise cancelling, solid build quality and voice pickup in noisy places.
The same test flags limits. Comfort is described as improvable, and the cable can get in the way of keeping them in place. The ANC struggles to cut voices and high frequencies. On sound, deep bass and good dynamics are welcome, but the upper midrange and treble are pushed forward, which unbalances the sound above 70% volume.
Prices listed in France
The page lists the Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds at €99.95 on Amazon and Son-Video.com, and at €99.99 on Fnac.com, Boulanger.com and Darty.com. These are French retailers, so they say nothing about UK pricing or availability.
Les Numériques also questions the value. It writes that these Bose struggle to justify their price against some cheaper wireless models. That is the site's judgement, not a measured result.
The alternative the site names
The comparison page points to the 1More Triple Driver as an alternative, with a launch price of €99. It lists the 1More at €71.94 on Cdiscount Marketplace, €95.30 on Amazon and €98.68 on Fnac.com marketplace.
Les Numériques calls the Triple Driver excellent value, citing reliable construction, good materials, complete accessories and controls for iOS and Android, strong comfort and very good sound. It notes slightly harsh mids and a straight, non-angled mini-jack.
