Four networks, one 8 p.m. slot: what to watch Oct. 21

On October 21, 2026, four US networks put their main evening program in the same slot. PBS, ABC, FOX and CBS each list a 20:00 Eastern start, according to TVmaze. That means the choice is yours, not the clock's.

All four are broadcast listings. A place in the schedule does not tell you whether the channel is free over the air or needs a subscription.

PBS airs Nature at 8 p.m. Eastern. The series has run for more than a quarter-century and has collected over 600 honors, including 10 Emmys and three Peabody Awards, per TVmaze.

That track record describes the series, not tonight's episode. The listing gives no verified year, runtime or director for this installment.

FOX schedules The Floor at 8 p.m. Eastern. The show pits 81 contestants in quiz duels on a giant LED floor split into a 9×9 grid, each square a field of knowledge.

The last contestant standing takes $250,000. That is the show's format and prize, not a result for this episode.

ABC lists Scrubs at 8 p.m. Eastern, and CBS lists Survivor at the same time. For Survivor, the format puts 18 to 20 castaways against each other until one is crowned Sole Survivor.

Both are scheduled programs in the listings.

Pick by what you actually want: wildlife on PBS, a quiz showdown on FOX, a comedy on ABC or the Survivor format on CBS. All times are Eastern, so viewers in other zones need to convert.

This is a partial selection, not a full schedule. Local stations and streaming options are not covered here.
