In short
Evernote is one of the 6 note-taking and organisation apps we compare, on what its maker states on its official pages.
It runs on 4 platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS): you can use it on phone and computer.
That is below the category average of 5 platforms: 4 apps cover more.
You can use it for free: the official site states a free plan, as 4 of the other 5 apps do.
We report what the maker states, with sources: we have not tested the app and do not score it.

- You want to start without paying: a free plan is stated.
Look elsewhere if
- You need it on Linux or Web: the maker does not state it, other apps in the category do.
